Automated parcel sorting
If you are dealing with eCommerce parcels, an automated sorting solution or one of the mSorters could be the right product for you. The user-friendly and productive one-touch-handling reduces parcel handling costs significantly. In addition to recipient and address details, mSorter also reads the CN22 data from the parcel and enriches it using external data sources like ITMATT or is completed by the operator using the sophisticated and intuitive interface.

Mailroom Solutions’ automated sorting solutions are designed for small-scale, cost-efficient automated small and medium-size parcel handling. These sorters are all based on cross-belt technology which enables space-saving and highly reliable solutions.
Our sorters are line sorters and a typical 30 output line sorter will fit in a space of 30m x 6m. They are cost-efficient solutions for medium volume parcel handling. The machines deliver the parcels to either detachable bags or roll containers according to the selected sort plan.
In our solution, it is possible to perform the shipment registration with mSorters beforehand and simply process the barcoded mail with the sorter. This is particularly useful when dealing with CN22 forms or Customs data. It is also possible to perform the OCR data capture directly in the machine.
eCommerce parcels

mSorters are designed to handle small and mid-size eCommerce parcels efficiently. mSorter recognizes the delivery address instantly and registers the shipment automatically.
This can be an upstream process, for example with a Line Sorter, or in lower volume cases the shipment can be manually sorted with mSorters into sorting frames. mSorters offer significant advantages when dealing with CN22 forms or Customs data.
Typically, shipment data can be pushed to various background systems. Furthermore, the Mailroom Manager server environment supports multiple methods for notifying the recipient and directing the shipment to the most cost-efficient delivery channel.
Computer-assisted sorting

All mSorter devices support the utilization of sort plans and frame types. This allows standalone mSorters to be used with existing sortation furniture.
The intuitive user interface indicates the correct sorting location using a frame map and coordinates. mSorter sorting frames also utilize sort-to-light functionality for an efficient and low-error sorting process.
Cases
Streamlining an eCommerce Parcel Process
Like many mail operators, Posti Group Finland has struggled with the sudden growth of Far East eCommerce parcels. Until recently, the process was completely manual and expensive.
Posti Group partnered with Mailroom Solutions to create an OCR-assisted and automated process for handling eCommerce parcels.
Posti set strict requirements for the process, and there were no existing solutions on the market at the time.
The ultimate goal was to develop a “One Touch” handling solution. The recipient had to be identified automatically. Posti also wanted shipments to be registered to ease the further processing and suitable notification and delivery methods to be selected automatically.
